What I offer

Using my knowledge of neurological problems and experience of the management of neurological symptoms, I offer a service to people with a wide range of neurological conditions including:

• Stroke (CVA)
• Spinal cord injuries
• Head injuries
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Parkinson's Disease
• Guillain-Barré syndrome
• Post neuro surgery
• Neuropathies
• Balance problems
• Facial Palsy

I offer a domiciliary neurophysiotherapy service where clients are assessed and treated in their own homes or local communities.

Referrals can be made by yourself or through your GP or a consultant by contacting me by email or telephone. A referral from your GP or consultant is not necessary unless a medical insurance claim is to be made for the cost of the treatment.

Once I have accepted the referral, I will arrange an initial consultation at a time convenient to you, which will consist of a comprehensive neurological assessment (1 hour).  During this assessment I will identify problem areas, discuss and set your personal treatment goals, and devise an appropriate treatment plan.

On completion of  your course of treatment, I will complete a discharge summary detailing initial assessment findings, treatments , goals and outcomes.  A copy of this will be made available to you (and unless otherwise requested) to your referring GP or consultant in order to maintain professional relationships and to ensure continuity of medical care.

Treatment costs £60 per hour and is payable at time of treatment (this may vary according to travel distance).  Cash or cheques are accepted.  I see clients who live in Cambridge and the surrounding villages.

Please check with your private healthcare provider if you wish to have the cost of your treatment covered by them.  As a Chartered and State Registered Physiotherapist, I am recognised by many private healthcare providers.

Cancellations: Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to cancel a treatment session, so I can offer your appointment time to someone else.  Clients who book a treatment session agree to pay a cancellation fee for cancellations less than 24 hours in advance.
