About me

I qualified as a physiotherapist with a first class honours degree from the University of East Anglia in 2001 and have been working as a Chartered Physiotherapist for the past 8 years.

After completing my initial ‘junior’ physiotherapy rotations at the Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, where I gained 18 months experience in all core physiotherapy areas, I began to specialise in neurophyisotherapy.  I have worked as a Neurophysiotherapist for the past 6 years, gaining extensive knowledge and experience working as a private domiciliary Neurophysiotherapist, and in the NHS at Charing Cross Hospital and St George’s Hospital.  Both of these are well known London teaching hospitals and national centres for Neurology.

I came to Pilates through re-occurring back injuries, caused by regular participation in sports from an early age and subsequent sports injuries.  I have benefitted significantly from Pilates and as a priority incorporate it into my lifestyle.  This enables me to continue to participate in the physical hobbies I love and practise as a Neurophysiotherapist, pain free!

Due to the personal benefits of Pilates and its relevance in my neurophysiotherapy work, I decided to train with Body Control Pilates (a leading Pilates association which offers comprehensive and well recognised teacher training) and qualified as a Pilates Matwork Instructor.

I now work as both a domiciliary Neurophysiotherapist and Body Control Pilates Instructor, bringing my knowledge, experience and skills of both disciplines into my professional practice.  I see both neurophysiotherapy and Pilates clients who live in Cambridge and the surrounding villages (including Duxford, Shelford, Stapleford and Sawston)
